Dubai is hosting the Dubai Air-Show 2023. Despite the West’s attempts to isolate Russia, its defence industry is represented here by numerous products.
Dubai Air-Show is hosting 1400+ world-class exhibitors, whilst witnessing 180+ jaw-dropping aircraft on flying and static display along with new and returning features, including the Space Experience Programme, 9 industry conference tracks led by 300+ speakers, the renowned start-up hub VISTA and much more.
The air defence segment includes the S-400 Triumph air defence system, the S-350E Vityaz, Viking and various versions of the Tor, as well as the Pantsir-S1M air defence missile system, the Igla-S and Verba MANPADS.
The U.S. press has already drawn attention to the active participation of the Russian defence industry in the exhibition.
“Russia is using its performance in Dubai to demonstrate the resilience and self-sufficiency [of its defence industry]; to show that it can independently produce such technologies, despite the prolongation of the war,” one of the Western observers explained to Defence News.

The air defence segment includes the S-400 Triumph air defence system, the S-350E Vityaz, Viking and various versions of the Tor, as well as the Pantsir-S1M air defence missile system, the Igla-S and Verba MANPADS.
Russian presence at this year’s Dubai Air Show was not affected by a Special Military Operation in Ukraine or by the pressure from the West to isolate Russia. According to most reports, attendance at Russian display stands is higher than ever.
